Spring Renewals

I will keep this very short, for as I type this, I am waiting for Tina to get off of work (Saturday). We're going out to my parents tonight so I can see if my new niece is as beautiful as her sister. Oh, and if you are reading this and are family, don't tell Dacia about this... Just kidding!

Spring is a great time for renewal. The trees seem to come back to life, so does the grass. If you see wild animals where you are, you have a decent chance at seeing the young animals and notice how cute they are, even if they're rumored to have rabies! The term "spring cleaning" also reflects this fact. People everywhere are doing the deep cleaning that they have neglected all winter long, or have just waited for the refreshing spring air to get motivated.

As long as I'm going on about renewal, let me ask you about your spiritual life. I won't ask for a show of hands, but how many of you have felt that you may not be spending as much time in prayer as you ought? What about your worship? Does it seem to be left at church? I'm not trying to get on anyone's case but my own here, by the way. I have felt a refreshing spring-cleaning in the air for myself as well, as I devote more time into prayer and Bible reading beyond this project. I encourage you, if you felt at all uncomfortable about my questions, to join me and set aside a bit more time than you had been.

Spring Renewals are always worthwhile; you end up with a cleaner home, a more vibrant world to enjoy and/or a closer walk with the Savior of the World, depending on what sort of a renewal you are doing.
